Spelling Bee Information
Spelling Bees are a great opportunity to both sharpen your spelling skills and to practice being in front of an audience. Word lists can be found below. All word lists have been uploaded to Spelling City here and can be used for practice or uploaded to your own Spelling City account. Simply click on http://www.spellingcity.com/cfsadmin/
All K - 6th grade students from CFS local support groups are invited to register for the Bee each year.

Date: Tuesday, April 27th
Time: 2:00 PM
Location: Living Way Church at 13609 Twin Peaks Rd in Poway
Cost: $2.50 per participant

Please note the following instructions which are given to students during the bee. This will help you practice with them at home. Always have them say, spell, and then say the word again:
"I will read you a word, read it in a sentence, then repeat the word. Be sure you listen to the sentence to make sure you are spelling the correct word. You will then say the word, spell the word, and say the word. Saying the word the second time completes your turn. You are only allowed one correction before saying the word the second time. Once you say the word the second time, you are not allowed to go back and correct it. Be sure to capitalize, punctuate, or space words where necessary."
