Sea Lab - Floating Marine Lab

Who: Homeschoolers who are members of any CFS support group in San Diego County and all CFS Associate Members. Grades 1-12, Kindergarteners will be accepted if they exceed 30 lbs in weight
What: A half-day floating lab field trip that invites students to learn more about marine science on a hands on four-hour journey on San Diego Bay! Some of the experiences include:
When: Friday, April 16, 2027, 8 AM to 12:30 PM
Cost: $36 per person, K-12 and adults (Kindergarteners must be at least 30 lbs.)

- Animal collection (trawling)
- Animal identification and education
- Plankton sampling and viewing
- Mud sampling
- Physical oceanography (wind speed, direction, tide, water temperature, depth, color & clarity
