CFS Chula Vista
We're glad you are here! We are Christian Family Schools of Chula Vista (CFSCV), a group of homeschooling families in the South Bay that seeks the fellowship of other Christians who are homeschooling or considering homeschooling in our community. We hope to provide a sense of togetherness & encouragement for each other and share our successes in how we have overcome obstacles in our journey of educating our children for the glory of the Lord.
CFSCV is a diverse group of families and our members homeschool on their own privately, are registered in formal Private Satellite Programs (PSP's), or are registered in public Charter Schools. All are welcome!
Please make special note that CFSCV is NOT a PSP. We may have teacher/parent taught co-op classes as parents schedule them to suit the needs of their family and our group. Check with us to learn what's happening this year. For the 2019/20 school year, we do not have any active co-op classes.
Membership and Fees
The annual family membership fee is $20 which includes membership to the CFS-Chula Vista Park Day support group and CFS-San Diego County activities . Your membership entitles you to valuable homeschooling resources which include discounted HSLDA and CHEA memberships, discount registration to local homeschool conference(s), Park Day fellowship, activities & programs, co-op classes if lead by members this year, field trips, and our monthly county newsletter. We also offer occasional Moms Encouraging Moms (MEM) events, county Spelling Bee, and any other scheduled county event. We may provide scholarships to help cover the membership fee for families who may be experiencing a financial hardship.
You are welcome to visit any combination of three CFS-CV events for free: our Friday Park Day meetings, field trips, and scheduled family events. After that we anticipate you have enough information about our group to make a decision about becoming a member.
For more information please email email@example.com or plan to attend our next Park Day and meet us in person!
May the Lord richly bless you in your home education endeavors.
CFS members have the opportunity to participate in several field trips throughout San Diego County each year. Some of our past field trips include: Sea World, San Diego Zoo, train ride to San Juan Capistrano, General Atomics, tidepooling, touring The Creation & Earth History Museum, Nutcracker ballet, Sea Lab, and more. Field trips are based upon the age demographics of our member families which may change each year. Several activities are scheduled by our county leadership and other groups. Invitations to attend will come via email.
Used Curriculum Book Sales are held annually. Notifications will be made available to members when the details and dates are set.
