CFS membership runs on a calendar basis from September 1st through August 31st. You automatically become a CFS member when you join a local CFS support group (see www.cfssd.org/groups for a list). We encourage membership with a local support group; however, the Associate Membership Form provides an option to become a member of CFS as an associate member if you do not belong to a local CFS support group.
In addition to receiving the satisfaction of knowing you are reinforcing and strengthening the foundation of Christian homeschooling in the San Diego area, your membership provides other benefits including receiving our newsletter, access to special events such as Spelling Bee as well as discounts for HSLDA ($20 discount per year) and our annual Homeschool Expo Convention featuring popular speakers and a large exhibit hall supplied to meet your homeschooling needs.
If you belong to a local CFS support group, you are automatically a CFS member. If you do not belong to a local CFS support group, you can download the Associate Membership Form and send it in with your check to become a CFS associate member or to renew your associate membership. You should not sign up for a CFS associate membership if you are a member of a local CFS support group or will be joining one. The associate membership is non-refundable and not prorated.
